If you intend to live and work in Thuringia, you should learn German as fast as possible. That is important if you want to get to know people, to communicate in your daily life and to find work. One possible way of learning German is the integration courses.
Integration courses are funded by the German state (currently you only have to pay about EUR 2 per lesson) and consist of two parts. The first part is a language course, the second is an orientation course about Germany. You can attend full-time or part-time courses. You can find detailed information about the courses and admission requirements on the website of the German Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF).
The Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF) also offers different classes in "German for professional purposes". For people with a migration background these courses are free of charge. The courses combine German lessons, professional training and the possibility of finding out more about a profession through internships.
You can find out more on the websites of the Thüringer Volkshochschulverband e.V. and the BAMF.
